Chord Diagram

A chord diagram can visualize the relationship between categories according to their relative magnitudes. Each node represents an individual category connected to another by a line with a thickness and color-coded attribute. The thickness represents the relation/frequency, and the color code specifies the type of the relationship. The method is useful for visualization of flow, migration, and genome studies.
